Mero Mero is founded by Lim Xin Yi (b. 2003), a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans painting, photography, found objects, and text. Through these mediums, she explores personal experiences, social issues, lived narratives, and philosophical inquiries. Specializing in wet media—including Chinese ink, oil painting, watercolor, gouache, and acrylic—she experiments with unconventional materials and readymade objects to challenge traditional artmaking and transform everyday spaces into sites of reflection. Her works investigate how objects can carry memories, emotions, and personal narratives while questioning systems of power and acts of archiving.

Beyond her artistic practice, Xin Yi is an emerging curator and arts professional. She has worked with LivingwithArt (2022–2025), Gallery1819 (2022–2025), and Art District SG (2025–present), contributing to gallery management, exhibition coordination, and curatorial projects. In 2026, she served as Lead Curator for Reimagined: "Where is Home" 2026, featuring 33 artists at Art District SG. She also worked as Lead Audio-Visual Liaison for the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) Graduation Show 2026, Downsizing: Interbeing. Her experience extends to major art events, including the Affordable Art Fair Singapore 2025 as a Fair Assistant, as well as a volunteer with the Singapore Art Museum (SAM) (2021–2022) and the STPI Open House (2022).

Her current practice centres on the role of creativity in building communities and nurturing children's artistic development. Following her internship at 3Pumpkins in 2025, she now teaches part-time at Tree Art (2026–present) while continuing to participate in exhibitions, collaborative projects, and community-based art initiatives.

Xin Yi believes that art is a catalyst for change thus creating opportunities for dialogue, fostering empathy, and building meaningful connections between individuals and communities.
